Equipment and features
Just 100 of the first-generation RC 8C superbikes were produced, all of which sold out in less than five minutes following their release. KTM subsequently announced the second-generation, 2023 model-year RC 8C in October 2022, and stated that production would be limited to just 200 examples. The new version produces 7PS more than the original thanks to lighter titanium valves and conrods, two piston rings per cylinder, greater compression, bigger throttle bodies, and more fuel pressure.A new digital dashboard with a GPS-based datalogger is fitted, and the traction control, throttle mapping, and engine braking are all adjustable. This example is presented in a vibrant shade of orange with contrasting matte black KTM decals, a black foam seat pad, and carbon-fibre components. It rides on a pair of 17-inch Dymag seven-spoke alloy wheels finished in matte black and fitted with Pirelli Diablo Superbike slick tyres.
Equipment includes a titanium Akrapovič exhaust, WP XACT Pro fully adjustable closed cartridge front forks, a WP Apex Pro rear shock absorber with adjustable rebound and length, a Race Seats seat pad, Brembo brakes with four-piston front callipers and a two-piston rear calliper, a steering damper, an AiM GpS09 digital dash display, and a chrome-moly tubular space frame.
